This dialog allows you to create a new table or alter an existing one.
You must specify the number of rows and columns the table should have . (If you want to have cells that span columns, you can do that with another dialog after you've created the table). As you type, the browser itself will figure out how wide and how tall to make individual rows and columns.
A table may have a caption which appears outside the table and may be either above or below the table.
Tables may have borders, or may merely specify spacing on the screen. Tables without borders can be hard to edit. If you need one, you can get a temporary border by specifying Format->Show Borders. If a table has a border you may specify how wide the external border will be.
Cell padding specifies the margins within table cells.
Cell spacing specifies the amount of space between cells.
